How about this, we can make 1 CPU trade, and 2 human trades?

Another very valid and important point.

i dont think that we should put a limit on human to human trades, but I think that cpu trading should be turned off, or at least have any trades offered approved by the "league office" maybe hitman can get one or two people to see if a trade is "fair", just my thoughts. also I was in favor of the point thing, but maybe it should be revisited as far as trading with the cpu.

Sorry I'm just getting a chance to respond to cpu trades but I had to work today.

I'm against cpu trades. The cpu does not have any trade decline measures so they will accept any trade no matter what. Ratings alone do not make a fair trade.

My point was simply why have a point system? Just treat it like you would a fantasy football trade. If a trade is deemed unfair by either the commissioner or the league as a majority then it shouldn't go through.

A perfect example is a trade Hitman has made in the regular franchise. You trade Hasselbeck to Detroit for Stafford. Why would Detroit take an injury prone QB on the back end of his career in return for someone who could become a franchise QB and the cornerstone of the team for years to come? It would never happen, and if a real player was controlling the team, there would be no way they would accept it either.

This is why cpu trading should be banned. For example I could trade away an aging 88 rated player for and up and coming player at the same position with no recourse.

Trades should be human only. No point system, but a fair and balance act. Meaning all trades would have to be approved by the league, by vote. If the majority feels the trade is fair then it goes through, if not than it does not.

I agree with that. I never liked the idea of point based trades, too many ways to exploit it. Hell, I'm doing that myself; Vasher for Davis or Henderson for Dansby. In fact, with my FB being rated 92 I could use the point system to trade for a great key position player.

I understand the concern and that was my concern as well. How many messages did I get on the 360 along with messages on here about why we don't have the CPU trading on if there is a point system in place. I didn't like it simply because the Trade Logic, The Free Agency and more is broke in Online Franchises. I went with the majority wanted and I did feel dirty taking Stafford but I was seeing these kind of actions across the board.

Give me a breakdown of the best trade scenario for my leagues.

1. Should there be CPU trading?
2. Should there a Trade limit with CPU and Humans combined of 3 trades a season.
3. Should there be a point system or should there be committee over looking all trades?

I have no problem with any of these as I go with what the majority would like to have and as you can see the opening of CPU trading even with a point system has gotten out of hand and all everyone is doing is taking a player and upgrading with another player that is 5 points higher in ratings. By the end the teams will not have any reflection of there true identity and will all be power house teams. I thought there would be common sense in the CPU trading but all I see is exploitation of the system.

The answer to all these issues could have been a non factor if EA simply got there game right on the day it shipped it!

Let me know what you all would like to happen and if a new league should be made?

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Committee. I volunteer to be on it.

No reason to restart, (even though I'd love to an other draft because they're fun) no harm was done.

What games are you playing?: UFC
1. I want to vote no here unless there is some kind of committee or a way to make sure the computer teams are getting a decent deal. I had one idea I would throw out that may make things interesting, maybe each of us serve as a GM of a computer team and try to build the best CPU rosters via trade with other GM's and owners (the one rule would have to be no trades to your own team.

2. At least a limit, I really have no problem if two humans want to make 100 trades with each other as long as they are balanced. I would definately think there should be a limit of 1 or 2 with the computer if we do CPU trades. Otherwise if we have someone new join the league we may have to do some kind of expansion draft (compensation picks) where the new person can take some talent to make a playable team.

3. A commitee or my GM idea would be fair with some limitations. Maybe the point system would work better if there is a max amount of points you are allowed to gain per season/franchise. Ex. your trades can only result in a net gain of 5 points for a given season or period of time (2,3,4 years etc.). I would say human/human trades wouldn't count against this limit

No reason to restart, this is a learning exp since EA didn't give us all the tools and kinda fun figuring it all out.

I think there should be a limit on total trades in a given season simply because how many real trades do you see in the NFL during a season? I can't remember the last time I saw a team make 3 trades in one season and with giving 3 trades than it is more SIM.

As a sign that I want only 1 CPU trade, I retracted all but my Sproles trade. If MORElandBROS gets him this week, I'll trade Jacobs for Gore next week. Unless I think of something else, or the rule change doesn't got hat way.

About the rule change, with only 14 teams, we should be allowed to trade with the CPU. If we can't, there would be too many players that would be off limits.

The rule I am contemplating is 3 trades a season total. this means if you want to make 3 trades with CPU players than thats fine but it will be limited to 3 trades. The downside to making a trade with the CPU is that it will have to be fair with the trade committee that I will have.

Right now that rule committee that I see would be S0CKC0RN00DLES AND DTRAIN53. If the guys in the committee make a trade than the other guy and myself would determine if its a legit looking trade.

This is what I am looking at changing. The 3 trades a season is pretty much concrete since you don't see more than that from a real NFL team in 1 season.
