I don't know if any of you know this but the Free Agents in the Online Franchises do not work properly. At this moment anyone can sign any FA players without bargaining with the player or worrying about CAP room. We need to find a good solution to this problem and need to discuss how to fix this and make it fair for everyone.

The other issue at hand is trades. Some people believe that since we are all grown men that there should not be any rules on this but I disagree. Let me give you an example of things I have seen in the past...

A. Your friend doesn't look like he will make the playoffs so he dumps all his best players to you so you can get a unfair advantage in the playoffs.

B. You sign up with 2 accounts and use one to bolster your real account.

C. You just want to be nice and help a lesser opponent.

All these issues I have seen in the past and can ruin a league especially one set up for multitude of seasons.

I know this is going slow but nobody knew that the Online Franchise would not work like it should or if the Commissioner would not have any tools to manage the league like in 2K leagues.

Here are my proposed ideas on some solutions and would love to hear more...

Free Agency:

A. We can use this only for injuries and once a player is healed than the player picked up must be dropped back in to the FA pool.

B. We can hold a Draft for the FA so everyone gets to pick from them fairly.

C. We can develope or own CAP system with player cost. Like we all know that QB's get more money than anyone else so we need to have a Salary number that works from QB's rated 99 down and so on so if you take from the FA pool you must release somebody who is worth the same amount of money.

Trading:

A. Put in place a trade deadline as in real life and have all trades approved on these boards.

B. Use a point system and as long as the points are within that correct range than it would always be an ok trade but the trade must be announced to all members of the Franchise via 360 message on on this forum.

C. Give a suggestion.

Since most of you have been playing the game more than me I would like to know if there is any Game Exploits that we need to concern our self with and make a rule on. Remember though that if there is a counter to a certain play than it will not be seen as a Exploit IMO.

I LIKE THE IDEA OF A DRAFT OF FREE AGENTS.....BUT I ALSO DONT MIND IF NO ONE SIGNS FREE AGENTS

free agents only used in case of injuries or retirement but in case of injury you shouldnot get anyone higher than 65

trades- any trades where the overall ratings are within 7 points shouldn't be a problem and if the trade does not meet this criteria, then you should have to give a reason like well my 2 wr's are injured, and this trade gives me something better than I could get from free agency

Maybe an offseason FA draft after the first season. Sign players that sign to their real team, ie Edge to the Seahawks. Limit of 2 FA picks during the season, like a waiver wire where they have to requested on the boards and if they clear the week they can be picked up the following week. (Not sure what order is fair to start out). For the offseason draft maybe make it 2-3 rounds plus complusary picks for each retirement.
